H.E. Ambassador Meeting with Special Envoy for Southeast Asia

On 1 June 2023, H.E. Dr. CHEUNBORAN Chanborey, Ambassador of Cambodia to Australia, accompanied by Mr. NA Dinath, Second Secretary, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Nicholas MOORE, Australia’s Special Envoy for Southeast Asia, at the Office of the Special Envoy in Sydney. During the meeting, H.E. MOORE briefed on his primary tasks and responsibilities, particularly his leadership role in developing the Australian Government’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040, with the objective of strengthening Australia’s economic engagement with Southeast Asia and bolster two-way trade and investment. In response, Ambassador Chanborey expressed his full support for Australia’s enhanced engagements in ASEAN, including through the Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040. He also briefed H.E. MOORE about Cambodia’s economic potentials and the Embassy's priority in promoting economic diplomacy, and provided recommendations on ways in which Australia can advance its economic engagement with ASEAN and Cambodia.
