On 24 April 2023, H.E. Dr. CHEUNBORAN Chanborey, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Australia paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. KIM Wan-joong, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (ROK) to Australia at the ROK Embassy in Canberra. During the meeting, they exchanged view on many topics, including Cambodia-ROK bilateral ties, the Mekong-ROK cooperation, ASEAN-ROK dialogue relations, and their priorities in Australia.

On 2 May 2023, H.E. Dr. CHEUNBORAN Chanborey, Ambassador of Cambodia to Australia and his Spouse attended the funeral of Mrs. Kay McCooey who was a good friend of Cambodia. On behalf of the Cambodian community in Canberra, Ambassador Chanborey delivered an eulogy to highlight Kay’s contribution to the Cambodian community and reflect on her love of Cambodia, Cambodian culture, and people, especially children in the countryside who she had helped and provided with hope and opportunity.

On 13 June 2023, H.E. Dr. CHEUNBORAN Chanborey, Ambassador of Cambodia to Australia attended the engagement dinner between the Heads of Mission of the ASEAN Committee in Canberra (ACC) with Hon. Peter Khalil MP, Chair of the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security. The Dinner was hosted in a cordial atmosphere by H.E. Dr. Siswo Pramono, Ambassador of Indonesia to Australia and the ACC Chair, at his Residence in Canberra.

Cambodia launched the Economic Diplomacy Strategy 2021-2023 which will contribute to diversifying the sources of economic growth and trade partners. H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation presided over the launching ceremony. “This Economic Diplomacy Strategy is designed to be a compass to strengthen the efficiency of economic diplomacy and to contribute to strengthening the economic growth, reducing dependence on foreign aid and promoting Cambodia's interests in the region and the world, focusing on four main goals: promoting international trade, attracting foreign direct investment, enhancing tourism, and fostering cultural exchanges (including the promotion of Khmer cuisine),” said H.E. On15 April 2023, the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Canberra joined the Cambodian Community in Canberra to celebrate the Khmer New Year by introducing Khmer food such as Na Tang, Caramelized Sweet Potatoes and Coconut Milk Jelly to the Cambodian community and foreign guests participating in the celebration at Khemararangsi Temple in Canberra.
