On 7 June 2023, H.E. Dr. CHEUNBORAN Chanborey, Ambassador of Cambodia to Australia, attended a sharing session on Cambodia, at Khmerrangsi Buddhist Temple, to secondary school students from the Blue Gum Community School in the ACT before they are headed to Cambodia for a study visit in July 2023. During the session, Ambassador Chanborey provided a general background of Cambodia – short history and current contexts – and Cambodia-Australia relations with the emphasis on the importance of people-to-people links. The session was also featured with: (1) Buddhist teaching by Abbot PHIN Sokol; (2) presentation on the Mekong River, Tonle Sap Lake and Angkor Wat by Dr. SOMETH Paradis, Principal Hydrologist at the Canberra-based eWater; and (3) presentation on education in Cambodia by Mr. SOTH Sothearak, Cambodian Master’s student at the Australian National University.

On19 March 2023, His Excellency Ambassador and Spouse as well as his colleagues partook in the celebration of the 22nd anniversary of the Khemararangsi Buddhist Temple in Canberra, Australia.

On the Afternoon of 7th July 2022, His Excellency Ambassador received a courtesy call by Ms. Martine Letts, C EO of Asialink Group, at his residence.

On 10 May 2023, H.E. Dr. CHEUNBORAN Chanborey, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Australia, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. XIAO Qian, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Australia. During the meeting, they took note with satisfaction of the progress of Cambodia-China traditional friendship and close cooperation and discussed ways to further promote Cambodia-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the building of the Community of Shared Future between the two countries. They also exchanged view on many issues, including ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations, the role of ASEAN, and the fast-evolving security and geo-economic landscape in the region.

In the early morning of 25 April 2023, H.E. Dr. CHEUNBORAN Chanborey, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Australia, accompanied by Colonel MORN Khanrithy, Defence Attaché, and a number of Cambodian military students, participated in the ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.

On 20 March 2023, H.E. Dr. CHEUNBORAN Chanborey, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Australia, attended the dialogue between the ASEAN Committee in Canberra and Mr. Francis WONG to discuss the upcoming Australia-ASEAN Business Forum to be tentatively help in late June 2023 in Sydney.

On 23 March 2023, H.E. Dr. CHEUNBORAN Chanborey, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Australia, participated in the Meeting between the ASEAN Committee in Canberra and the Honourable Simon Birmingham, Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs at the Parliament House, Canberra.

On 21 March 2023, H.E. Dr. CHEUNBORAN Chanborey, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Australia, and Spouse attended a lunch hosted by Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), Governor-General of Australia, and Mrs. Linda Hurley for ASEAN Heads of Diplomatic Missions in Canberra, at the Government House.
