On 1 June 2023, H.E. Dr. CHEUNBORAN Chanborey, Ambassador of Cambodia to Australia, accompanied by Mr. NA Dinath, Second Secretary, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Nicholas MOORE, Australia’s Special Envoy for Southeast Asia, at the Office of the Special Envoy in Sydney. During the meeting, H.E. MOORE briefed on his primary tasks and responsibilities, particularly his leadership role in developing the Australian Government’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040, with the objective of strengthening Australia’s economic engagement with Southeast Asia and bolster two-way trade and investment. In response, Ambassador Chanborey expressed his full support for Australia’s enhanced engagements in ASEAN, including through the Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040. He also briefed H.E. MOORE about Cambodia’s economic potentials and the Embassy's priority in promoting economic diplomacy, and provided recommendations on ways in which Australia can advance its economic engagement with ASEAN and Cambodia.

From 29 May to 8 June 2023, Ms. Cheam Putpisey, Trade Attaché at the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Canberra, participated in the Agri-food Study Mission for Agri-food Investment Desk, organized under the Cambodia-Australia Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development (CAPRED) in order to promote investment and market access for Cambodian products. During the visit, the delegation had the opportunity to exhibit their products as well as build the connection with investors, importers and wholesale suppliers in Australia to further explore the possibility of establishing cooperation to bring Cambodian agricultural products including rice, pepper, cashew nuts, fruit jam, etc. to the Australian market.

On18 April 2023, H.E. Dr. CHEUNBORAN Chanborey, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Australia, attended a working dinner between the ASEAN Heads of Mission in Canberra and the UK High Commissioner to Australia. Hosted by H.E. Dr. Siswo Pramono, Indonesian Ambassador to Australia, the discussion covered a myriad of issues of common interest, including ASEAN-UK dialogue relations, the UK's engagement in the Indo-Pacific, Australia's foreign policy, and the developments in the Pacific.

On 21 June 2023, the Parliamentary Partners Association (Spouses of Members of Parliament) organised a tour and tea for the Association of the Spouses of Head of Mission (ASHOM) to Australia at the Parliament House to promote cordial personal relations and provide some basic information about the most iconic building in the ACT.

In the morning of 10 May 2023, H.E. Dr. CHEUNBORAN Chanborey, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Australia, accompanied by Mr. NA Dinath, Second Secretary, received Ms. Anushe KHAN, Project Coordinator for Health in My Language, and Ms. Bormey KEN, Bilingual Health Educator, at Women’s Health Matters, which is an independent, non-partisan thank think working to improve the health and wellbeing of women in the ACT. During the meeting, both sides discussed potential cooperation in order to promote health education and access for the Cambodian Community, especially women, in the ACT.
